From the Ashes
This home was presented to us after an unfortunate fire. The owners needed to rebuild their home after considerable damage, as well as expand upon the spaces with a master suite. The home, originally a one story ranch on a slab, had been added onto over the years, so spacially and structurally it did not work very well. We completely re-worked the first floor plan to make room for a more functional and spacious kitchen that could truly become the focal point of their living, a generous living room, sun filled dining room, and family space. By adding a partial second floor, we created a unique space for the home owners with vaulted ceilings, custom trim work, custom vanity, and one-of-a-kind balcony railings. The new master suite on the second floor gave the home its much needed space for a growing family and its architectural identity. From the outside, adding a second floor to only part of the home helped to create a new shape for the home. We transformed this home from a bland, single roof, one story ranch, into a home with a wrap-around porch roof and covered entry, and multiple roof surfaces that add dimension and depth to the structure. The end result is a house the owners can be happy to come home to and live in for the future.
