For this quickly growing family, expanding their single story 3 bedroom ranch was a must. We looked to add a second story and expand the footprint of the original home in a way that was playful, and anything but typical. The result is a 5 bedroom 3 bath home with a spacious 2 story entry and custom built staircase and a wide open living, dining, kitchen space with floor to ceiling windows to the back yard. On the outside, the dark blue portions of new house can clearly be seen growing over the original gray shingled portions of the original home to create a playful intertwining of old versus new that gives this house its character, scale and aesthetic.
